How can Verena continue to astound us with the surprise of her next photo? My mouth hangs open in pure delight upon coming upon this gorgeous composition incorporating the most gorgeous of colors. The shadow photographer who first appeared as a subtle dark presence in My Lovely Ninth has now taken center stage and again participates, but as an exotic shade of purple within the overall composition in the most extraordinary way. I have never before seen a photographer use her or his own shadow-presence to augment and re-declare the color composition as a completely integrated aspect of the entire color spectrum of the whole image. This deco fauvist cubist photo is just too amazing, too beautiful for words (but I do go on). It is a state of awe. Thanks again,Verena.

I love how present you are in this photograph, and how in your shadow, you appear to be holding your hands over your eyes, as if someone was leading you to a surprise, but we know that it is really you, covering our eyes until you reveal each photograph as a surprise to us. :) That along with the bright wonderful colors and an "out on the town" feel gives this image a playfulness that I really enjoy.

How much fun it is to return again to this shadow play of violet figure, rimmed with gold, and salmon deco spirit. Finally, I see the scissor which is so gracefully bisected by the shadow. What a sweet little detail.
