Many times I think I have seen the greatest of Paris Bird photos when suddenly another astonishing image appears with such exquisite poetic and formal qualities. It takes awhile to discover all there is to see in this complex and dimensional color composition. One is first torn between the mystical blue cellular human residence rising in the upper left, so gorgeously set back in the luscious luminous brown by which it is surrounded and the complex weave of aspiring green spiked aspirations of life. The delicate tension between this mystically blue heaven and the most foregrounded leaf, so diagonally opposed, is unified by a surface tension and detailed intimacy of a night time rain. Other soft pastel-like smears of blue and green soften the darkening tangle of plant life. The bright window peaking through this muted world gives us our source of light. All these elements sing in harmony within this sublime and painterly rectangle.

my sincere gratitude to you nathaniel and what a surprise, to understand... that in our fear and our struggle we find beauty...
