days of roses

A great image of the tragic feminine. How hopeful is the baby blue sky and peachy pink facades so caught in the shadow of the moment. Our foreground gown of damaged roses, so worn by life's past glories and optimisms... this image, so after the fact, so generous in its tenderness to this dying moment. The deep, deep maroon from which our broken petals strive is the perfect match and balance for the still future seeking pink and blue above. This is such an unusual view of Paris but captures this especially rainy summer in such a truthful way.
